What baffles me is how were these charges made in the first place. Another call to Chase and now, hopefully, it is removed permanently. This was followed by a letter stating that I authorized it. Chase said they would remove the Staples charge, and did, only to re-apply it a month later. The local department store charge never hit my account but the Staples charge did.
